After "Show as walkthrough", the chat in the Mac app used to stop scrolling partway down, so the walkthrough played out of sight below. Safari's engine nudged the chat by itself when a message was replaced, and the chat took that nudge for the user scrolling up. Now only the user's own scrolling (wheel, touch or keys) takes the chat off its end, so new messages and the walkthrough stay in view.
