Phone checks in real Chrome on an Android emulator

Shared on October 17, 2026

A new script, bun scripts/android-phone.ts, lets agents test the phone view in real Chrome on an Android emulator. That covers what a desktop headless browser can't reproduce: the on-screen keyboard, video fullscreen and screen rotation. With one command each, an agent can boot the emulator, open Obeya on it, tap elements with real touches, type, rotate the screen, read values from the page and take screenshots or recordings. Every wait inside the script has a time limit. Until now agents built their own emulator helpers for each check, which took up most of their work and often stalled. Phone fixes like the chat input with the keyboard open can now be checked faster and more reliably.
