A demo that arrives on an open card waits for you

If a card is open when its agent hands over a demo, the demo no longer starts playing with sound. It waits behind its play button until you click it:

• Opening a card to a demo you haven't played yet still starts it by itself.
• A demo counts as played once the video actually runs, not when it was only shown or was still loading. A demo you closed without playing starts the next time you open its card.
• Each handover's demo is new, even when its chapters fall at the same times as the last one's.
• A later handover on the open card waits the same way. If you are watching an earlier demo, it keeps playing.
• When Obeya restarts and the page reloads, a demo that was waiting keeps waiting, because the reload is not you opening the card.
