When you split a settled task off an idea, or write to its agent, the agent starts on a reply. Until now, the question it had asked you disappeared from the conversation during that time and only came back with the reply. Now the question stays where it was asked while the agent works, and if it is still open after the reply, it moves to the end, where you answer it.
