The field no longer jumps while typing

On a card with a demo, the conversation stands beside the video with the text field under it. On a Mac whose scrollbars always show, the field and its buttons jumped up by a line at every key typed and dropped back a moment later. Below: where the field stood, frame by frame, while 15 keys were typed, measured in the Mac's own WebKit, the engine the Obeya app uses.

Before

How far the field stood above its place (px); grey ticks: a key typed

After

How far the field stood above its place (px); grey ticks: a key typed

The one rise that stays, early on, is the text wrapping to a second line: the field grows by that line, as it should.

Why it jumped: when the card fits its panel, the conversation briefly shows a scrollbar, and WebKit kept the height its text had wrapped to beside it. Each key laid the conversation out anew without that, a line shorter, and the panel's next fit brought the old height back. The conversation now keeps the scrollbar's lane whether it scrolls or not, so its text wraps the same either way.
